You’ll be surprised but POSITIVE THINKING is not always the answer.

We all think we should be telling our children or our friends to think positivelybut honestly, that is not necessarily the best thing to do. In fact, if you read the philosophies of Zen master OSHO, you will see he tells you to do the exact opposite.

Being positive all the time means you mask your feelings. If you feel happy, then, by all means, you should feel happy. But if you are feeling down or depressed, acknowledge how you feel. Dont wear a mask. The more you acknowledge the truth, the easier it is to come to terms with it. The easier it is to work through your problems.

Often the things we are taught are not necessarily correct. Most people know the name, Dale Carnegie. He was one of the first to embrace positivity.Perhaps at the time, it was right but today, we are smarter. Today we are more in touch with our emotional intelligence. And today we understand more than ever how important it is to be real.

Negative and positive balance each other out. You dont want to be down and despondent all the time. At the same time, when you are down and despondent, tell someone. Talking helps. Acknowledgment helps.

We can use the author Napolean Hill as an example. He wrote the book Think and Grow Rich. But he was the first person to say that his book started off badly. And that only when he said this is baddid it slowly become good. And he slowly became rich. He achieved success, not because he was all rah rah rahfabulous, but because he was in touch, and in tune.

So. Be positive when its the right time. But if youre feeling down, remember that is okay too. Balance is the most important thing.
